 NEWSLETTER JUNE 2025

A light dusting already... we're ready for more!

WELCOME TO SEASON 2025

Wishing everyone a fantastic ski season this year. Hopefully we will see plenty of snow, the International opening in July, and great skiing and boarding right through into September!

I'm sure you are looking forward to enjoying some days and nights at the Lodge with family and friends.

On 26 July, the Club will celebrate 'Christmas in July'. This promises to be a night of festive spirit and cheer, and maybe even a visit from Santa!

Thank you to all members who participated in our Club working bees over the summer, they are so vital in maintaining our Lodge, for all of us to enjoy in both winter and summer.

Welcome back to David and Fiona for another season at Myrtleford Ski Club, we appreciate your hard work throughout the year managing bookings, welcoming guests and keeping the facilities in such great condition.

Finally, a reminder for everyone to be kind and respectful, to your fellow members and others in the Lodge.

Happy skiing!

Alistair

A spiffy new walkway is in the works!
DING DONG! ...WALK THIS WAY

An update from Kevin Raven who is leading a few key upgrade projects:

WALKWAY
We are in the process of preparing a revised planning permit for the walkway.  At present we are awaiting the completion of some consultant reports required as part of the planning process before submission to the relevant authorities.

At the Lodge is a test rig of Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) grating which is proposed for the walkway. See above. It has been left outside during the winter season to confirm its performance in icing and snow conditions. Though this grating is yellow, what we would use as the end product is green grating.  The rig is located on our balcony and is okay for you to stand on if you desire.

DOORBELL AND VIDEO SECURITY
We have installed a new video door-bell at the main entrance to improve security at the Lodge. The ringer for this is located in the kitchen area. We also intend to install cameras at all the external entrances to enhance security during periods when the lodge is unoccupied.

Thanks to David and Fiona who are now back in residence at the Lodge and shared these great photos.

Bring on the snowstorm this weekend and enjoy the season opening festivities if you are in the village.

Keep warm, stay well.
