CLUB RACES AND FOUNDER'S CUP 2025

What a great weekend yet again. Please enjoy Alistair's report, apologies for the delay.

The 2025 Myrtleford Ski Club race day was held on the 13th of September. The race was held on the Father Foster's run, and the Falls Creek race department had the course set up, on time and with gates set to challenge each race goer. The weather was perfect with a good freeze overnight, blue skies and an amazing cover of spring snow. The Falls Creek Ski Patrol transported our race announcer Di Gavin to the course, and the scene was set.

The Club Champion this year was Alex Showers, with a best time of 41.49 seconds, and the junior Club Champion, Summer Milne, with a best of 43.8 seconds. Not to forget our snowboarders, the gap between the Burns kids and their dad is certainly closing. Steve this year only just beat Mila by one second, and a bit!

Club members then went up to a bustling Albury Ski club for the presentation of the Founder's Cup. This year it was Bogong who took home the cup. It was great meeting members from the other clubs and reflecting on a great day. Back to Myrtleford, we donned our Togas, handed out our trophies and enjoyed Brett’s pumpkin soup, Lasagne from Remel and homemade Tiramisu.
