SPRING RACING

With the recent top up of snow and some sunny weather about, this weekend is shaping up to be terrific for our annual Club Races and the inter-club Founder's Cup event. Details are below, please make sure to register. Good luck to all of our racers, have fun, ski fast and don't forget to pack your toga for the after party.

TAYLOR-McKINNON CUP

Yet again, MSC was very well represented at the Hoppet held on Saturday 23 August 2025. Well done to all competitors, with a particular shout out to Dan Taylor who takes out Taylor-McKinnon Cup for 2025, being the highest placing MSC skier in the event. Thanks to Malcolm McKinnon for sharing his brief review of the day below which lists our competitors in order of placing for MSC.

At last a change in the family rivalry... Hoppet Male: 1^st Dan Taylor, 2^nd Charlie Taylor, 3^rd Isaac Taylor. I came in a very distant 4^th but very happy to complete.

Lodge guests Adam Curran also completed the Hoppet in a most presentable time for a relatively new skier but unfortunately Peter Smith was forced to withdraw due to an injury.

MSC had a fantastic support crew based in the Nordic Bowl consisting of family and friends, including our lodge manager Fiona. The crew kept up an amazing supply of lollies, gels and even mulled wine.

RACE WEEKEND & TOGA PARTY

Our annual MSC Club Races are here THIS Saturday 13 September 2025.

All participants are required to register, using the link below:

Please note that all adults register in the U50 category... Alistair has you graded.
If you have not yet registered, please do so by Wednesday 10th Sept.

The day starts at 9am and race times will count for both the Myrtleford Ski Club race events and also the Founder's Cup where we will compete against Albury Ski Club and Bogong Ski Club for inter-club glory.

We have been invited to Albury Ski Club at 4.30pm for the Founder's Cup presentation. Nibbles are provided, however please note it's BYO drinks.

Following the Founder's Cup Presentation it's time to return to MSC for our own Club celebrations and race presentation event. It's a Toga party so get your outfits ready. Dinner will be served at around 7.30pm.

If you are not booked in to stay at the Lodge and plan to attend, please advise the Manager's and register for the race event (above).
